v. 0.32

The L Game was created originally in 1967 by Edward de Bono, an author, economic theorist, and physician, as an exercise in making an extremely simple but deeply strategic exercise. The idea was originally written about in his book, The Five-Day Course in Thinking.

This project, based on de Bono's game, was created by Adam Wright on the GODOT Game Engine.

RULES:

There are two colored L pieces, one purple and one green. Purple goes first, and Green goes second. There are also two small orange pieces, which are called neutral pieces.

On your turn, you must move your L piece to any position on the 4x4 grid that covers at least one square it did not cover at the start of the turn. Then, you may move one of the two neutral pieces to any open spot on the grid; you can choose not to move one.

You win when your opponent cannot move their L piece to a new position!

FUTURE FEATURES:

At the moment, you and your opponent have to simply recognize that the game is won. I will eventually add a way of detecting that the player has no moves available.

I will also add an optional scorekeeper and move tracker.

Mouse controls for clicking and dragging the pieces instead of using the arrow buttons or keyboard keys will eventually be implemented as well, but that is much further down the line.

It is also at present designed around a standalone app ethos, so don't click the "Quit" button lol

I do not have any idea when I will actually get around to updating this app. It was uploaded on GOTM.io for a long time, and after uploading my Bike Calculator app I figured I may as well upload this one too.
